Employee Health Benefits: All full time eligible employees of MBA receive cost sharing medical and dental coverage.  As required by state law, MBA strives to provide medical benefits on par with the school district.  In the instances where MBA coinsurance is more, a program will be provided to reimburse employees for the difference.  MBA also provides vision coverage.  The plan is administered by MBA and paid for by employees. 

 Life and Disability Insurance: MBA provides life insurance provides of two times the eligible employee’s annual base salary, up to a maximum benefit of $500,000 at no cost to the employee.  MBA also provides accidental death and dismemberment, short-term and long-term disability benefits at no cost to the employee. 

Educational Benefits:  MBA offers 100% tuition reimbursement for approved courses that you pass with a “C” or better up to $2,000 per year.  MBA also offers degree incentives for employees pursuing their associates, bachelors or masters degree.  Employees are also eligible to receive employer-paid Spanish instruction through the Berlitz Online Instruction System. 

 Retirement Benefits: As required by law, all MBA employees are enrolled in the Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS).  Both the employee and MBA make contributions every pay period.  An optional 403b plan is available for those employees desiring to contribute more to retirement than is defined through the PSERS plan. 

 Family Benefits: MBA understands and respects the needs of families.  Employees receive 2 weeks of paid leave for the care of a child in addition to benefits provided under the Family and Medical Leave Act.  The school also provides a wellness room for new mothers.  

Personal and Vacation Days:  Full time teachers receive 10 Personal/Sick days per year in addition to all school holidays and summer vacation.  Full time regular employees receive 12-15 vacation days per year according to length of service.  Additionally, full time regular employers receive 10 personal/sick days, and some paid holidays.
