Mariana Bracetti Academy

My name is Rebecca Berger and I am the Senior Academy Technology teacher and have a 9th grade advisory. I have been teaching urban children how to use technology for the last 5 years! I earned my BA at Curry College, and received my M.Ed. at the University of Massachusetts. I enjoy running, creating animation and spending time with my family and friends. I volunteer monthly at the PSPCA by walking dogs that are waiting to be adopted.

In 1985 Microsoft released Word, originally called Multi-Tool Word. Computers and software have come a long way since 1985 and at MBA you will be exposed to many different types of software that will help you succeed in school and life.

We are offering 3 technology classes this year in the Senior Academy. Business Technology - which focuses on using the Microsoft Office Suite, Desktop Publishing - which centers on using software to design ads, fliers, business cards and menus and Web Design - where you will learn how to create and maintain a website.
